Artist Statement
Nature, the phenomena of the physical world, is as essential to my life as the air that I breathe. My art has always been an attempt to capture a moment that has touched my heart. I want the viewer to feel what I felt, to gain the energy that filled me as I looked out into that space and in that moment. I paint in watercolor, oil and pastel and prefer plein air to a studio. Jay Moore was my most influential instructor.
